Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris, the most visited theme park in all of Europe. The place to be a kid for a day or some more. But how do you spend your time in Disney if you just have one day?
Disneyland Paris has two parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Next, to the parks, there is also the Disney Village: a shopping, dining and entertainment complex located before you enter the parks.
Tips:
- Instead of rushing and paying way too much money for tickets to both parks, decide on which park you want to visit. We had decided to only visit the Disney park and not the Disney Studios. The Disney park is bigger than the studios and has more attractions.
- Keep in mind that when it is crowded in Disneyland the waiting line is long and you do not have the time to visit both parks in one day. If you have more time I would definitely recommend visiting the Disney park and studios.
- Check the Disney website for opening times because it can differ when there are holidays etc. but if you have the regular times: be there at 10AM and leave at 10:30 PM to make the most of your day!
- The parade is at 5:30 PM and the fireworks start at 10:00 PM. Be there early if you want a good spot because it is really crowded during this time of the day, around the castle of Sleeping Beauty.
- The shops in the main street stay open till 10:30 PM so you can score some stuff after the fireworks if you are fast!
- Reserve a table in one of the restaurants if you want to eat in the park restaurants, otherwise everything will be booked and you need to eat at one of the stands in the park or in the food hall in Discoveryland. Make sure to do this relatively early on, as the restaurant might already be fully booked later on in the afternoon.
- Last but not least, use the Fastpasses in Disney. A lot of the attractions, but not all of them have a Fastpass. What is a Fastpass? A Fastpass is a pass that gives you a time slot when you can enter a ride without waiting in the normal line. You are a lot faster this way. You can do this by scanning your Disney ticket at one of the Fastpass scanners near the attraction. The thing is, you can only get one Fastpass at a time, but if you use it you can get another one. So get one for the attractions you really want, use it and get another one. While ‘waiting’ for your time slot, you’ll have time to visit another attraction or get some food.
