Checking in to PiamPiam

Recently Maarten and I, together with 10 other friends, visited the champagne region in the Ardenne, France. The region has four areas. Yhid region is known for its beautiful nature, extensive vineyards, picturesque towns and of course the best champagne. So if you’re considering a weekend away with a big groups and a location to do just that, read on for my full experience of Piam Piam.

Piam Piam is a typical Ardennes house. It has 14 sleeping places, multiple lounges, a big kitchen, a terrace, billiards, a pool house and so much more. The garden runs along a stream and then overlooks the meadows.

The beauty of visiting the France champagne region is not comparable to anywhere else in the country. Not only is the area full of champagne houses, but it is also full of stunning landscapes. The region is beautiful all year round. Plus, the area is full of great attractions and fresh produce, making it a popular area not just for international visitors to explore, but also many French people visit in the warmer months.

La Maison Pommery

Reims is the unofficial capital of the Champagne region in the north of France. The city is surrounded by rolling vineyards where the sparkling wines that bear the name champagne are made. In the city you will find several champagne houses where you can do a tasting or a tour. We visited La Maison Pommery. Named after the owner Madame Pommery, she decided in July 1868 to start the metamorphosis of the crayères chalkpits into cellars. The 30 meter deep cellars are still in use today to store champagne. In addition, the space is also used to exhibit art.

Taking a walk

With the leaves turning yellow, orange and red, PiamPiam is perfectly located to walk to the nearest town or visit the Ardennes Regional Nature Park while enjoying the view.
