The Atlantic Road
“Drive on the coastal edge of Norway”
The Atlantic Road or in Norwegian called Atlanterhavsveien (or Atlanterhavsveien) is a road between the cities Molde and Kristiansund in the midwest of the Norwegian coastline.
This road is a very popular tourist attraction and connects several islands. The road has several spectacular bridges, the most prominent being the Storseisundet bridge.
The local population and tourist visitors frequently use the road to go fishing for cod. One of the bridges is even specially designed for fishing.
The Atlantic Road was on the list of places to go, just as for the other internationals. So what we did was take a road trip to this place. Two cars and a few hours resulted in a lot of fun.
On the way back we also discover a really nice viewpoint, in Molde. The view point is called Varden and is on top of the mountain.
