Staying in a Tiny House
Tiny Houses are not just small houses to live in, it is a new form of living with a clear underlying philosophy. The main reasons people have for living in a Tiny House are: to lower the ecological footprint, to lower monthly costs, to live in a social community, to settle for less stuff, and to live in a house designed by yourself.
In addition to living in these practical, but also cute buildings is it also becoming increasingly popular to rent a Tiny House for a few days. These houses are an ideal solution if you want to go back to basics for a few days. Or just want to experience what it’s like to live in a smaller space.

Where to book?
You can book various types of Tiny Houses at various holiday parks throughout the Netherlands. Droomparken is one of the largest providers with 7 different locations throughout The Netherlands. Airbnb also has a wide range of Tiny Houses available on the platform. Some are close to nature and some are in the middle of the city. The websites natuurhuisjes.nl and Glampings also offer a lot of unique overnight stays.

Our Stay in a Tiny House
Tiny Houses come in all kinds of different variations. The most common ones are wooden buildings for 2 to 4 persons, but there are also caravans or tree houses. We stayed in a Tiny House for 2 people at the Droomparken park in Beekbergen for a weekend. Droompark Beekbergen is located between Beekbergen and Loenen on the Veluwe. You can enjoy walking, cycling, shooting photos, and many more activities in this area. If you want to visit a bigger city, Apeldoorn or Arnhem are just 30 minutes away by car.
We did not have the best weather during our stay, so we just enjoyed the fireplace, played UNO, and watched movies on Saturday. On Sunday the weather was better. This gave us the opportunity to go for a walk and a visit to The Veluwsche Steam Train Company.
