Droste’s Lanschapskamer
During our staycation in The Netherlands, we were welcomed at the Droste’s Landschapskamer. This accommodation is located in the province of Twente, the town of Nutter to be exact. The town of Nutter is located near the cities of Hengelo, Almelo and Enschede. The property is in the middle of nature in the yard of a farm.
The accommodation consists of a one room area with a lounge, bathroom and bedroom. Surrounding the house is a veranda with chairs and an outdoor fireplace. It is a perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway for 2.
The amenities
Droste’s Lanschapskamer is equipped with coffee, tea making facilities and a mini fridge. Keep in mind that there is no wifi or TV at the accommodation, as it is meant for relaxing. However, books and games are available for you – There is plenty to keep you busy! You can also book a massage or book treatments at the Spa Farm of the Steggink family located next to the property.
A unique future about your stay in the Droste’s Lanschapskamer is that from mid-May to autumn the cows roam the pasture around the accommodation.
Things to do
- High tea or lunch in Ootmarsum at the Dennenoord. The tea room is an original wooden building from 1921 where nostalgia meets modern times. The tea room is located between the woods and is an ideal place to rest after a wonderful walk or bike ride.

- Go horse riding
- Take a bike tour: Twente’s bike route networks are designed in such a way that you can cycle along the most special places.
Our stay at the Droste’s Landschapskamer was very enjoyable! The location made it very easy to explore and get around to all the places I wanted to visit.
